BAGGO TOP 5: #4 BAYLOR BEARS PREVIEW
TOD WILLIAMS - BAGGO, INC. - AUGUST 10TH 2015
In 2014 the Baylor Bears saw their College Football Playoff bid fall short after an 11-1 regular season record & being crowned Co-Champions of the Big 12, sharing with the TCU Horned Frogs. After falling short, the Baylor Bears matched up against the Michigan State Spartans in the 2014 Goodyear Cotton Bowl. With Baylor jumping out to a 20 point advantage, they found themselves coming up short again, as the Spartans scored 21 unanswered 4th quarter points to rally over the Bears. This year the Baylor Bears have an amazing 17 returning starters coming back for 2015. The Bears will start a new Quarterback & will need to vastly improve in their defensive secondary. The Bears schedule is too topsy-turvy, as they should roll to an easy 7-0 before hitting their final stretch of 5 games. Baylor ends the season with 3 of their last 5 games on the road, at Kansas State, vs. Oklahoma, at Oklahoma State, at TCU & vs. Texas. If the Bears can maintain consistent Quarterback play & stiffen up in the secondary, they can possibly repeat as Big 12 Champions or at-least Co-Champions, again. If the Bears want to overcome the Playoff Committee in 2015, they will need heavy claws on November 27th when they visit the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU will certainly be ready to avenge their 2014 loss to Baylor, a game that TCU seemingly had put away until the Bears scored 24 unanswered 4th quarter points & winning on a 28 yard Field Goal as time expired.
